April 3 & 4 at The Atlantic City Convention Center, marks 15 years of celebrating beer! Over 150 breweries, nearly 1,000 beers & great tunes!
So today we announced that we will be live on the Podcast Stage at the 2020 Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival. We can trace our roots to craft beer back to our first trip to a “beer fest” at the Piazza in Philadelphia several years ago. After attending various fests over the years, we landed on AC Beer fest as hands down the best experience in every regard: value, entertainment, quantity of beer/vendors, and so much more! We have attended the past SIX YEARS in a row as patrons, and now we have the opportunity to contribute to the experience as content creators. We are both excited and overwhelmed in the best way!
We are primarily known for our Sixers content, and (hopefully) rightfully so. However, the beer is not only what we hope makes us unique, but it is the part of this endeavor that gives us so much more creative freedom and makes the whole concept enjoyable and makes it work. We are hoping this opportunity really helps us take several steps forward as far as our craft beer content creation, reputation, and our overall knowledge and experience as well.
Session 1 featuring New Found Glory - Friday, April 3rd from 8:00 pm – 12:00 am
Session 2 featuring Goldfinger - Saturday, April 4th from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Session 3 featuring Against Me - Saturday, Saturday, April 4th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
While the beer is what you may notice the most upon entering, the music is always what puts ACBF above all other fests. Past acts that we’ve seen include Saves The Day, Taking Back Sunday, Hidden In Plain View, Hawthorne Heights, Streetlight Manifesto, Descendents, Dashboard Confessional, Saves The Day, and The Used. That’s just from the sessions we’ve attended! We’ve missed so many other great bands that played other sessions too.
The name power this event draws is truly what puts it over the top. Coming from the local music scene, we’ve often treated this podcast similarly to how we treated our bands over the years: grinding, trying to build friendships and relationships, trying to support and collaborate with similar styles, and trying to have as much fun as possible while still being productive.
As far as what we’ll be doing at ACBF? This has been basically the only thing on my mind specifically for weeks now, and I’m still not sure I have a great answer. We hope to be able to bring you interviews from new breweries, maybe some musicians, maybe some athletes? There is a lot for us to figure out still, but for you? You don’t need to figure anything else out. This is not an event you want to miss. Tickets are still available as of writing this post. Come and say “hi”, but more importantly, have the time of your life!
